A week in the village of Dufort, France July 25th-August 1st (sold out), in a cozy cottage, with home cooked meals, lots of mixed media play, slow stitching, cyanotypes, art journaling, treasure hunting, exploring and our own chef.

Using the French country side and charming villages as our inspiration, we will spend a week together getting into our heart and our hands through mixed media. Everything will be our canvas, including our clothing! We will use textiles, vintage papers, vibrant colors and nature to capture the beauty of our time together and take a bit of it home with us.

We will create a multi layered, travel art journal. I will share with you all the ways I bring the essence of a trip home with me on pages so that I can return to it time and time again. And the sweetest part of this journey is we get to treasure hunt side by side for days and then return to our French art studio with found goodness, inspiration and ideas.

I will be packing up a magic bag full of my favorite creative processes including: art journaling, cyanotypes (sun-prints), encaustics, slow stitching, stream of conscious writing and photo transfers done in an assortment of ways.

The Village of Durfort, France has been an artisan village producing copper ware since medieval times. There is an interesting copper museum a couple minutes from our house. Recently we have been named an Artisan Village and the village is filled with murals made by Tian and Johnny- a French and an English artist- and other street artists.
