People who attend feel as if a huge creative shift happens inside them. We will create a safe space to explore and experiment with a feast of materials.  My studio will become your studio. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this foliage filled weekend workshop, we will look at materials with a new set of eyes as we create \u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eone of a kind chunky art journals\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e, honoring exactly where we are. As we take apart all the pieces and reassemble them, we will be putting back into place pieces of ourself. We will focus on who we are right now, and put it down visually and in words.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur second project will be altering and embellishing a piece of clothing that we love by adding in vintage elements through layering \u0026amp; slow stitching.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe art of slowing down and tuning into our intuition will be a part of our circles. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI share all of my art supplies with you in the hope of you seeing the entire world as your art store.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith a 237-acre historic farm as our backdrop, we will work outside and inside my magic studio cottage to get out our heads and into our hearts. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are looking to find or rejuvenate the artist and writer within, these October days will rejuvenate your soul.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe will begin with cozy dinner around my kitchen table in Lambertville, NJ.  This delicious dinner will set the stage for a weekend of creative permission and friendship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFriday is a full creative day in the cottage and outside in the fresh air. And we will begin the day as friends, all full of the light of our dinner the night before in my home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSaturday begins with a field trip and treasure hunting and then back to the studio for lunch, show \u0026amp; tell and to create.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSunday we gather through early afternoon  s we finish and share all the gifts of the weekend.   We will work outside on the farm as the colorful leaves crunch under out feet and fall around. The Fall in the northeast is simply beautiful this time of year and the farm surrounding my studio cottage is breathtaking. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOur long fall weekend together includes:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eEndless art supplies and inspiration.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDinner at my home, two morning continental breakfasts, three studio lunches, snacks and bottomless coffee and tea. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTwo different projects: a chunky altered art journal and a piece of your clothing that we will embellish and completely redo. Both projects will open our hearts up as we create using the materials around us, in my studio and on the farm, using many mixed media techniques.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eWe will be doing all types of photos transfers, encaustics, layering, dying, rusting, painting, cyanotype, sewing on paper, stream of conscious writing and experimenting with water-soluble materials and fibers...\u003cem\u003eplus whatever else I discover until we gather.\u003c\/em\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOn Saturday morning, we will treasure hunt through an out door flea market searching for ephemera and goodness to use at the studio and to bring back home. Don’t be surprised to find hidden treasures inside the treasures.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e→ Travel and lodging are not included.
