Our intimate group will gather, simmer, share, circle and connect through creativity, fresh air and pure joy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a weekend of play, exploration and epiphanies as we use mixed media combined with the art journaling process to reconnect with our creativity. These long weekends are twice a year and so intimate. People who attend feel as if a huge creative shift happens inside them. My cottage is a safe space to explore and experiment with a feast of materials.  My studio will become your studio. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThis time we are using a wooden canvas to drill, stitch, embroider, paint, and play on.  Think about trees wearing sweaters and rivers running full of textiles. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis will be a weekend of pure play, connection and imagination as we use mixed media as our muse and transform a wooden canvas and a piece of clothing. We will be experimenting with all types of mediums and materials.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eBecause of the of the 237-acres of farm surrounding us, the fauna around my studio will be part of our inspiration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn our second project, we will incorporate ways to embellish \u0026amp; \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003ere-think a piece of clothing, while adding in \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003emeaningful layers of ourselves. And as we play for days, art journaling is always a part of of weekend.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe art of slow stitching and intuition will be a part of our circles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI will share my art supplies with you with the hope of you seeing the entire world as your art store.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith a historic farm as our backdrop, we will work outside and inside my magic studio cottage to get out our heads and into our hearts. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are looking to find or rejuvenate the artist and writer within, these fall days will rejuvenate your soul.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eWe will begin with a cozy, intimate dinner at my home in Lambertville, New Jersey on \u003cstrong\u003eThursday\u003c\/strong\u003e evening from 6p to 8:30p (I love dinner parties!). \u003cstrong\u003eFriday\u003c\/strong\u003e is a full creative day (10am to 5:30pm) in the cottage and outside in the fresh air. \u003cstrong\u003eSaturday\u003c\/strong\u003e begins with a field trip (we meet at 9am at Golden Nugget Flea Market) and treasure hunting and then back to the studio for lunch, show \u0026amp; tell and to create. \u003cstrong\u003eSunday\u003c\/strong\u003e we gather through early afternoon (2ish) as we finish and share all the gifts of the weekend.   We will work outside on the farm as the peonies are in bloom and the farm begins to come alive in summer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOur long fall weekend together includes:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eEndless art supplies and inspiration.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDinner at my Lambertville home, two morning continental breakfasts, three studio lunches, snacks and bottomless coffee and tea.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTwo different projects, Stitching and painting on a wooden canvas, and redesigning a piece of clothing through paint, photo transfers and stitching (no prior sewing experience is necessary!).  Both projects  will open your heart up as we create using the materials around us, in my studio and on the farm, \u0026amp; using many mixed media techniques. W\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003ee will be doing all types of photos transfers, layering, painting, cyanotypes, sewing on paper, embroidering on wood, stream of conscious writing and experimenting with water-soluble materials and fibers.                     \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eOn Saturday morning, we will treasure hunt through an out door flea market searching for ephemera and goodness to use at the studio and to bring back home. Don’t be surprised to find hidden treasures inside the treasures.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e→ Travel and lodging are not included.
